Planner Review of Personal Planners

Planner Review of Personal Planner by Jess Crafts

Hello crafty friends! Today I have something a bit different, but hopefully helpful to you. As a crafter, who gets the honor of working with brands, and as a teacher, staying organized is very important to me. So I use a planner to help me stay on track. I have one for school and one for home. I was in the market for a new planner recently and was serendipitously contacted by Personal Planners asking if I was interested in giving their planners a try. I checked out their website and was super pleased with the ability to personalize the planner and since I loved it, I decided to share it with you. For a more complete review check out the video below:

As mentioned in the video, Personal Planners was kind enough to offer a discount to my readers/viewers for 15% off. The code is J-ESSC-RAFT and is good until 8/3/2017. Distress Oxide Inks for Solid Stamping with Neat and Tangled Little Tangles Challenge

Miss You Cards by Jess Crafts featuring Neat and Tangled Better Together

Hello crafty friends! I took the time to play along in the Neat and Tangled Little Tangles Challenge 82. I love Neat and Tangled stamps and find myself buying stamps designed by the super talented Elena of Just Me from them often. However, I don't always take the time to share cards I make using those stamps but I love playing along in challenges so this time I took the masking challenge and create a fun background over the masked off images of the Better Together stamp set. Check out the video for more info:

Rainbow Distress Oxide Ink Blending | Guest Design for Scrapbooking with Me

Rainbow Distress Oxide Ink Blending Tutorial by Jess Crafts featuring Stamping Bella Unicorns

Hello crafty friends! Today I have my first guest design post for Scrapbooking with ME. Scrapbooking with ME is an online store that operates at a website and on Facebook. As part of my guest design series I have a discount code you can use in the online .com store (JG10). All links at the end of the post. Here's the video for a full tutorial on the first card.

The video provides a brief look at this bonus card. I cut the sentiment and frame out of black and then used inlaid die cutting to replace the black die cuts with the rainbow pieces.

I used the same technique from the first card to blend two more backgrounds and added other die cut and stamped sentiments.

43 Cards with The Paper Studio Winter Wonderland 6x6 Paper Pad

43 Christmas Card One 6x6 Paper Pad tutorial by Jess Crafts

Hello crafty friends! Today I have another 6x6 Paper Pad tutorial this time featuring a pad from The Paper Studio that was purchased at Hobby Lobby. I am obsessed with Doodlebug 6x6 pads but their newest Christmas line is not out yet. Don't worry though because when they have their next release I will be getting the Christmas and Halloween to do videos for. However I've gotten a few requests for a Christmas pad and could pick this one up locally on sale. I was happy to see the animal cut aparts in this pad. Many of today's cards will go to the Cards for Little Hearts card drive. Please note that particular drive is only requesting general holiday cards and not ones that reference Christmas. There are however prizes for participating and my digital stamp store is one of the sponsors. Once I had made the 43 cards there was very little left over and I really felt like I got the most out of my pad. To see it all in action check out the video.

I made 3 of most designs but there are some unique cards and well as some that I made 2 similar ones by combining the 2 inch strips that were left from cutting down card sized pieces. Keep scrolling to see pictures of different designs and get some measurements. Not all designs are shown.

Coffee Themed Card with Distress Oxide Inks for Create a Smile Stamps

Coffee Themed Card by Jess Gerstner with Distress Oxide Inks and Create a Smile Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card and a video with a coffee themed card using stamps and a stencil from Create a Smile stamps as well as Distress Oxide inks for the background. Someone asked me if you could cut word stamps with the ScanNCut digital cutting machine and I thought that these stamps from Create a Smile would be a perfect test case. Turns out you can cut out these beautiful script greetings very easily and add great impact to a card. To create the stencil background, I covered my Bristol smooth cardstock with Distress Oxide ink and then 'stamped' it by spritzing it with water and laying in on the card. You can get more details in the video:

If you don't have a digital cutter you can always fussy cut around your images. Also remember to be creative with your stencils. You can do so much more than put ink through them.
